Goodbye tooth number 3

Conor usually does the bedtime routine which includes teeth - so he and Finn had been saying for about a week that Finn had a few wiggly teeth, but Finn wasn't letting me look in his mouth.

Well on Monday he was really complaining about it and was hardly eating any food.  On Tuesday he didn't eat any breakfast, snack or lunch and he always had his hand on his top lip while he talked so I finally got him to let me take the above picture.

Then during quiet time on Tueaday he was making a huge racket in his room so I went in to ask him to be a bit quiet and he said "ok" and then I noticed his tooth had fallen out! When I pointed it out he got quite upset and I was worried he had swallowed it.  But it turns out he was upset because he had dropped it and it rolled under the bed where he couldn't reach it! Haha.

The lucky kid got $2 from the tooth fairy since she only had 20 cents for his last tooth, so was making up the different.

24 Weeks

I meant to update after my 20 week scan but completely forgot!

So I had my 20 weeks scan and the cervix looked good at 2.8cm.  The doctor basically said that if anything happened in the next 4 weeks there would be nothing they could do about it anyways, so no point having another scan or appointment before 24 weeks.  So I got a great 4 week break from having to go into the hospital!  Previously I had either been in once a week for a scan or an appointment, or else twice in one week with the next week off.

Anyways, this morning I had my 24 weeks scan and the cervix has shortened down to 2.2cm.  At this point with Thea it was down to 1.6 so I'm pretty happy that it's not that low!  Although anything under 2.5 is still considered "short".

So I'm still not in "bedrest" - but I'm going to try harder to be sitting/laying down as much as possible.  No more toy pick up!  She wants to scan it again on a week to make sure it doesn't keep shortening too considerably.

If it's below 2.0cm in a week then I will be put on proper bedrest at home.  Then I'll have a scan again a week later and if that hasn't helped I'll likely get admitted.  So those are the worse case scenarios (actually worst worst would be it shortening below probably 1.5 in a week and they would probably admit me then, I dunno).

So please continue to pray that it doesn't keep shortening too much and that I ignore the untidiness of the house! Haha
