27 weeks

Had another scan today, potentially the last one, as I'm nearly 28 weeks and my cervix is still stable at 2.2cms!

Bubba was being camera shy, as you can see.

At my last doctor appointment she said that if the cervix hadn't shortened we probably wouldn't bother doing any more scans, so I'm happy about that!

I have another appointment in 4 weeks (although there was a mix up and I shouldne having one in 2 weeks, have to call after the weekend about that) but I think it'll all be pretty regular from here.

Until then at least I'll keep going as I've been going and maybe at 32 weeks not be SO cautious.  But yeah, pretty happy with everything, that I never got hospitalized, that we never needed a nanny, all good stuff!

Oh and at my last appointment she mentioned that the glucose test was coming, which I literally dread more than labor and delivery itself.

I asked if I could beg and plead to do the glucose challenge, which is shorter than the glucose tolerance test, instead, as I always feel so ill during it and nearly pass out - to my extreme pleasure she said I really don't have any risk factors for gestational diabetes so she gave me a complete pass on it!!

All in all I couldn't be happier!

Conor's siblings leave tomorrow which is a bummer.  The kids have really enjoyed having them here, as have Conor and I - but there's a lot more of Australia for them to see! Haha.

Tooth #4 - two gone at the same time

I can now anticipate exactly when the loose tooth will come out, even though Finn won't let me see or touch it, because he goes through about 24 hours of no talking and no eating because it bothers him too much!

Visitors

Conor woke up bright and early on Friday morning to pick up his 3 youngest siblings from the airport.

They're staying here until Thursday or Friday and then renting a car and driving up the coast to spend the rest of the month seeing more of Australia.

The kids were very much looking forward to their arrival, but Finn had a very loose tooth the day before so hadn't eaten anything, and then in combination with all the excitement threw up shortly after they arrived! Thankfully the tooth had fallen out in the night, so after eating some breakfast he felt much better.

They've nearly been playing Lego in the living room non-stop!  On Saturday the visitors went into the city so Conor took the kids to the park and they eagerly awaited their Aunty and Uncles arrival back home.

On Sunday after lunch Conor drove them all out to the beach and the kids had a blast!

Monday was a holiday so the kids showed the guests a good time at the zoo 😜

The guests are heading into the city again and Conor's back at work, so hopefully the kids will behave for me haha

26 weeks

Well I had a follow up scan on Friday to make sure the cervix was being stable.  I pretty much was in bed the whole week between scans as much as possible.  The girls mainly read and played on my bed while Finn played lego.  Conor dealt with everything else.

And it worked!  My cervix hardly changed, if at all.  It was 2.2cm the week before and the lowest measurement they got from the scan on Friday was 2.1cm, some measurements reading up to 2.3 - so no official bedrest!  Just gotta keep going as I'm going.

Mainly we want the cervix to stay stable until 28 weeks.  After that it's not SO much of a worry, but still obviously wouldn't want to go into labor that early either, so I'll still take it easy after that.

Conor's 3 youngest siblings are coming for a visit on Friday morning for about week, which we're all looking forward to!  I won't be able to go out with them at all, but it will be good to hang out with them when they're here, and a good distraction for the kids!  Then I have another scan the following Friday, when I will be 27.5 weeks.
