I've been in a bit of denial that he's over six months now, and haven't been very consistent with feeding him solids, but when he does get his hands on something he LOVES it! He's a bit wobbly in his chair, but otherwise he's enjoying tasting different foods. Steak, lamb, carrots, brocoli and a few other things he's gotten his hands on.
He still often only naps 45 minutes, but every few days he'll surprise me with 1.5hour nap! We had quite the heatwave just before Christmas, and with him moving around so much it was already difficult to keep him swaddled to sleep at night, so with the heat I just sort of gave up and let him sleep on his tummy at night, but this has resulted in him now consistently waking at least twice a night for a feed, and sometimes a couple more times to have his binky replaced. I'm looking forward to the day when he goes back to just one wake up! I do swaddle him after the night feeds though, so that helps a bit.
He's really been getting up onto his hands and knees now and rocking a bit, but hasn't quite got to "proper" crawling. He likes to venture out of the living room now - into the kitchen, or the laundry room. The kids enjoy finding him all over the place!
He's starting to get some core strength to sit up, which is good because sometimes it looks as though he's going to try to get to sitting position by himself, and I worry he'll just topple over and bang his head!
At the beginning on Jan I noticed Oliver was really gnawing/chewing on his soother a lot instead of just sucking on it, checked on Jan 3rd, and sure enough he was cutting his first tooth!! The second one followed a few days later.
